REGISTER HERE. February is a time when we often focus a little extra on the love we give others, but too often we forget to nourish our most sacred and important relationship - the one we have with ourselves. Self-love is about living in a state of valuing and appreciating yourself, taking care of your own needs and well-being, and recognizing that you are worthy of love and respect. Self-love is a challenging exercise because many of us have been conditioned to prioritize others above ourselves and seek love, validation, guidance, strength, and solutions externally when, really, we have absolutely everything we need within ourselves. Choosing self-love has the power to help unlock your fullest potential, align all aspects of your life, and fill your own love bucket so you can then pour love into others.
So, I invite you to return to yourself on Saturday, February 28, from 1:00 PM-2:30 PM at So Hum Yoga Studio for a special self-love themed sound bath to end the month of giving love by giving yourself some love through the practice of listening to and absorbing healing sounds, vibrations, and frequencies. Tickets are $50 per person and include a 60-minute sound bath, one self-love themed crystal bracelet, and one self-love themed Essential Oils aromatherapy roller (multiple options for each item will be available for guests to choose one of each item). Pre-registration is required as space is limited to 22 people.
WHAT IS A SOUND BATH? Sound baths fall under the ancient practice of sound healing. Sound healing is based on the principle that everything in the Universe is comprised of energy, frequencies, and vibrations, and that specific sounds and frequencies can be used to balance and harmonize this energy inside each of us. A sound bath is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience during which various instruments produce these sounds, frequencies, and vibrations to shift a person’s brainwaves into a deeply relaxed state. In this state, the person’s natural healing mechanisms can work more effectively to bring them back into vibrational alignment to balance the mind, body, and spirit.
Common examples of instruments used during sound baths include crystal and/or Tibetan (aka Himalayan) singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, chimes, cymbals, drums, and the human voice. During this sound bath, Matty Makowski, a certified Sound Healing and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Practitioner and owner of Matty Sunshine Sound Healing, plays a combination of 8 pure quartz crystal singing bowls, a Heng gong named “Sunny”, Tibetan Tingsha cymbals, and more that invite you into a deeper state of consciousness, help unplug you from external stimuli, and promote self-inquiry/discovery.
